Federal Police officers and Mexican Army seized 40 kilos (88.18 pounds) of marijuana from a train car in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas.
The drug was discovered by a sniffer dog after searching a railway company located in the city of Nuevo Laredo.
Authorities found various packages wrapped in tape, which had the characteristic odor of marijuana.
"A total of 40 rectangular wrapped packages were found inside the train car, which have a total weight of 40 kilograms," the authorities said.
Public prosecutor of Tamaulipas started the corresponding investigation.
