The incident occurred at midnight on Sunday in a home on 19th Street (Calle 19), where the three Canadian men were having a get together and drinking alcoholic beverages.
According to local police officers, at one point the reunion went sour and a fight broke out between the men. One of the men eventually grabbed a knife and stabbed one of his friends.
The assailant and a witness left the home and went to a nearby store, where the assailant told the owner of the store what had just happened. The owner of the store immediately called the police.
Municipal police officers cordoned off the crime scene for the State Prosecutor to launch the pertinent investigation, which occurred early Monday morning.
The two surviving Canadians were taken into custody and taken in for questioning.
