The Attorney General’s Office of Tultitlán, State of Mexico, informed that operatives of its office, along with members of the Ministry of Defense (SEDENA), the Ministry of Navy (SEMAR),the Federal Police and the Commission of Security of the State of Mexico (CES) participated in a large-scale police raid last Friday night in thirty-nine localized crime areas of twelve neighborhoods of the municipality.
Arrest warrants were effected and twenty-seven people were arrested for crimes against health, while ten properties were seized since three of these were identified as drug sale and distribution points, while three other housed auto parts and vehicles reported stolen. Four night clubs were secured as drug was found in one of them, while all four lacked the necessary operation permits.
State of Mexico’s prosecutor, Alejandro Jaime Gómez Sánchez, noted that “the battle against crime is not going to be won with arrest warrants only, we are going to win this fight with the joint efforts of society and authority, working together. Society has to continue developing a culture of crime reporting, while authorities respond to this allegations in a soundly manner”.
Authorities of the State of Mexico have also implemented these large-scale security raids in main municipalities of Tlalnepantla and Naucalpan, and will see that they continue to take place in several other municipalities.
