An exhibition dedicated to the Maya and their culture was inaugurated today at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona, Italy.
“The Maya: The language of beauty” features around 300 artworks from Mexican museums, which will allow to discover all the aspects of one of the most fascinating civilizations of the Pre-Columbian Americas.
The exhibition, promoted by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) along with the city of Verona, displays sculptures, architecture, musical instruments, jade masks, jewelery, and the most important masterpieces of Maya art.
“The Maya: The language of beauty” will run from October 8, 2016 to March 5, 2017.
