After the Mexican mass media company Televisa announced that it was ending its relationship with Netflix and pulling its telenovelas from the streaming media company's service, Netflix shared a video online poking fun at the situation.
Netflix had already released a video message that said: “It's difficult to say goodbye. Many will miss them, others won't.”
Now, in this new 54 second clip, a devastated young man can be seen crying because Netflix pulled his favorite show. After his girlfriend asks him what show he's crying over and name drops some of Netflix's most popular series such as Orange is the New Black and Stranger Things, he eventually says the name of one of Televisa's most famous telenovelas aimed at teenage girls, Rebelde. His girlfriend looks relieved and even a little irritated, and then consoles him sarcastically.
Televisa launched its own competing streaming video service this year called Blim.
