Spanish Court ordered on Friday the extradition of Diego Cruz, accused of raping a minor in Veracruz, Mexico in 2015 and arrested in Madrid this summer. The ruling can be challenged.
The court accepted Mexico's extradition request for Diego Gabriel Cruz Alonso to be tried for "crimes of pedophilia."
One of the arguments of the defense lawyers was that Cruz has Spanish nationality, which the court rejected saying that it does not prevent his extradition.
Cruz tried to move the court with a final plea, claiming to be a victim of a political and media conspiracy.
