The Mexico City Metro system temporarily shut down its service at one of its lines after a dog ran onto the railway tracks.

According to officials, the dog was spotted running along the Juárez and Balderas metro stations.

The dog was rescued after 2 hours and service was restored.

Mundo Patitas, an animal rescue association, shared a video onto their Youtube account where the frightened dog can be seen hiding underneath the tracks while workers try to lure it out.

Metro users reported delays in the service on social media.
