Mexican actress and singer Thalía shared a message on her Facebook account to make clear she is not a supporter of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
“Let me be 100 percent very clear about this, I am not a supporter and never would be a supporter of Donald Trump. I have never been a supporter of his campaign or anyone for that matter, who has such bad feelings and ill-fated intentions toward my country.” Thalía wrote.
She also said “I am a Mexican woman, and very proud of it. Anyone who speaks of my people in that way offends me in the highest regard and by the way, everyone in my country as well. Once again, I would like to emphasize that I have not and will never be a supporter of DONALD Trump.”
Last week, several media outlets published a photo of Thalía posing next to a helicopter of Donald Trump, which sparked controversy.
“In December 2014, I flew on the helicopter that appears in the photo that several media outlets have published. This was way BEFORE Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president of the United States.” she added.
