A group of demonstartors marched from Tlatelolco’s square to Zócalo early Sunday to commemorate 48 years of Tlatelolco’s student massacre in 1968.

This is one of the many demonstrations expected today in Mexico City, where businesses around Zócalo and neighboring areas have already set crash barriers and other protective walls to cover window-shops and entrances since yesterday’s afternoon.

Main avenues connecting with Zócalo will be affected by a larger demonstration later today, while Mexico City government has already suggested some transportation alternatives through twitter account: @OVIALCDMX and urged motorists to take the necessary precautions.
