The Minister of the Interior announced that it has ended the state of emergency previously declared for the Comala and Cuauhtémoc municipalities in Colima, after the Colima volcano erupted on September 30.
This is due to the fact that the natural phenomena is now at an acceptable level and that state authorities have reinforced their response efforts thanks in part to extra help by the federal government.
As part of the State of Emergency, authorities handed out nonperishable food, blankets, mattresses, cleaning and personal care kits, masks and water to citizens affected by the eruption.
