Mexican Finance Minister Luis Videgaray steps down

Sources familiar with the matter said that Videgaray will be replaced by José Antonio Meade, current head of the Ministry of Social Development. The information has not been confirmed.

Luis Videgaray resigned from the Ministry of Finance, confirmed a spokeswoman to El Universal.

According to the spokeswoman, Claudia Algorri, Luis Videgaray will not take another public post.

President Enrique Peña Nieto has already accepted his resignation.
