Authorities of San Juan del Río, Querétaro, asked the help of its citizens to find and report a man caught on video kicking a cat.
Through its Facebook account, the Mayor's Office reported that the incident occurred on Saturday, September 3 in the Nuevo San Juan neighborhood.
The security camera of a particular caught the moment when the man walks on the sidewalk, sees a cat and kicks it violently.
"The video shows a man kicking a defenseless cat. Do you know him? Help us to find him" published the mayor.
He added that they are considering legal action against the man.
"We condemn this act and we are already considering legal actions to proceed against the aggressor," he said.
According to local media, the video was uploaded to social networks by the owner of the kitten, who said that due to the aggression, the cat suffered broken collarbone and had to undergo surgery.
Via Facebook, she asked for legal punishment for this act of animal cruelty.
