According to the new report issued by the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the Popocatépetl volcano spewed 284 low-intensity exhalations followed by steam, gas and ash emissions during the last 24 hours.
99 minutes of low-amplitude harmonic tremor were also registered.
At the time of this report, the volcano was not visible due to cloudy conditions, but early in the morning a continuous emission of steam, gas and occasionally ash heading towards the west was observed.
