More than 200 police officers conduct heavy operation in the Santa Fe business district

With the presence of more than 200 police officers, the local Secretary of Public Security (SSP), in conjuction with the Cuajimalpa district office, has conducted a heavy police operation tonight as part of an effort to curb criminal activity in the area.

The police officers, who were backed by 15 police cars and four tow trucks, focused their efforts primarily in the Santa Fe business district, as well as nearby neighborhoods.

“The Cuajimalpa district office and the SSP have launched a Mega police operation to reinforce security in the area,” tweeted the Cuajimalpa Regional Director Miguel Ángel Salazar.

The police operation is a direct response to the murder of María Villar Galaz, who was kidnapped after taking a street taxi right outside the luxurious Patio Santa Fe shopping mall and corporate center.
