Authorities identify 10 burned bodies found in Cuitzeo, Michoacán

The Attorney General of the State of Michoacán handed the bodies of the 10 people killed and burned in the town of Cuitzeo to their families.

After carrying out the corresponding forensic tests, authorities confirmed the identity of the ten victims.

The victims are Ricardo G. (42), Sergio B. (18), Braulio Santiago P. (30), Gustavo L. (16), Kevin Jaime H.(19), Juan de Dios Ch.(20), César Omar M.(22), Miguel R. (29), Luis Alberto L. (36), and Erick G. (22).

According to the state authorities, the motive appeared to be related to a rivalry over street-level drug sales.

The state of Michoacán has been convulsed for years by drug violence.
