At least three areas in the metropolitan district of Tlalpan are flooded after the rains in the south of Mexico City, while the districts of Magdalena Contreras and Álvaro Obregón face puddles.
The water level is reportedly rising in Tlalpan, and some cars with people inside are trapped in the waters.
The situation got complicated by a hailstorm and in some areas of the Magdalena Contreras district, the water is flowing on the streets with so much strength that they look like rivers, as in the area of San Nicolás Totolapan.
The water currents also pose a problem for pedestrian traffic.
