A judge in Los Angeles ruled Wednesday Starwood Management LLC, the owners of the downed Learjet 25, must pay a total of US$70 million to the loved ones of Jenni's publicist, makeup artist, hairstylist and lawyer.

According to attorney Vance Owen, the ruling comes after more than three years since the lawsuit was filed and the defendants did not attend most of the judicial processes.

"The defendants attended some hearings and then they vanished," said Owen, adding that justice finally resolved who is "responsible for the plane crash that tragically killed Jenni Rivera and her staff members.”
