Governor of Veracruz to make assets declaration public

Governor of Veracruz Javier Duarte de Ochoa said today that he will publish his assets declaration.

“I have nothing to hide, I've been serving and fulfilling my responsibilities. I have no strawmen.” He said.

The governor expressed relief to learn that the Office of the Mexican Attorney General (PGR) decided to open an investigation on him and his assets.

He said that the investigation will help clarify rumors. “The truth will set us free," he wrote on Twitter.
