According to the report issued by the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 148 low-intensity exhalations in the last 24 hours.
Two explosions were also recorded, the first occurred yesterday at 11:30 am and the second occurred at 3:13 pm, respectively.
Yesterday, a continuous emission of steam and gas was reported. In addition, incandescence over the crater was observed at night.
Also, a volcano-tectonic event was reported at 8:44pm with a 1.9 magnitude followed by 36 minutes of low-amplitude harmonic tremor.
