According to the report of the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 157 low-intensity exhalations along with emissions of steam and gas, and occasionally small amounts of ash in the last 24 hours.
Additionally, two volcano-tectonic quakes were detected, which occurred yesterday at 7:13pm (Mc 2.2) and 9:45pm (Mc 1.8), as well as 110 minutes of low-amplitude tremor.
During the night, incandescence was seen above the crater.
At the time of this report there is no visibility towards the volcano, but earlier this morning, a continuous plume of steam carried by the winds towards the west-northwest was observed.
