In his first speech as national leader of the Revolutionary Institutional Party (PRI), Enrique Ochoa Reza warned that all party members will be under watch and called into accountability, and proposed the creation of an anti-graft commission within the organization.

Ochoa Reza also proposed a change in the relationship between the party and the government, with the organization becoming a watchdog over the authorities.

The new party leader also promised that he will present his assets declaration and said that he will be "demanding in the punishment to officials" accused of corruption.
