Virgilio Andrade, minister of Public Administration, denied the accusations against him made by Nayeli Martínez Vázquez, who claims that she has been physically abused by the government official, among other things.
In a latter sent to EL UNIVERSAL, Andrade says that he is in fact the father of Martinez's boy, for whom she demands an allowance, but pointed out that "even before he was born and until today, Emilio has been continuously receiving his allowance and his corresponding livelihood from me".
"As for the other facts narrated by Nayeli Martínez Vázquez regarding supposed actions against integrity by me, I ratify my categorical denial as I have been doing before the proper authorities," he added.
According to U.S. TV network Univision, Andrade has been denounced by Martínez for sexual, psychological and physical abuse, as well as the non-payment of the allowance for his son.
Martínez, a surgeon, has also denounced a series of obstacles while trying to go over the proper legal channels, as well as the supposed protection of the authorities for Andrade.
