Dissident teachers from the National Coordination of Education Workers were planning to stage a march to the airport of Mexico City, but were stopped by police officers.

After the arrival of teachers coming from neighbouring State of Mexico to the esplanade of La Ciudadela in central Mexico City, the teachers were hoping to continue their protests against the education reform in the country.

But the grenadiers deployed by the government of Mexico City kept them at bay. The teachers are asking the authorities to allow them to continue, but the police officers are continuously being reinforced.
