Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto received the head of state of Singapore, Tony Tan Keng Yam, at the Presidential Palace in Mexico City.

Keng Yam and Peña Nieto will hold a private meeting and then will sign a series of agreements looking to expand on the bilateral relationship, before talking to the media.

The Mexican first lady, Angélica Rivera, and her Singaporean colleague, Mary Chee Bee Kiang, also participated in the welcoming act for the illustrious visitor.

Mexico and Singapore have diplomatic liaisons since December 22, 1975. Currently, Mexico is one of the main commercial partners of Singapore in Latin America.
