Much of the Mexican territory will be affected tonight by a series of rains caused by the influence of cold front 61, a channel of low pressure and the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported that the state of Chiapas will face very strong rains during the next few hours.
Other heavy precipitation events are forecast in Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Puebla, Tlaxcala, the State of Mexico, Mexico City and Morelos.
Isolated rain incidents are expected in Aguascalientes, Durango, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo and Guerrero, as well as strong winds with gusts up to 60 kilometers per hour, dust devils and possible whirlwinds in northern Chihuahua and Coahuila.
