At least 14 wounded in bus rollover in the State of Mexico

Two were seriously injured during the accident in San Felipe del Progreso.

At least 14 people were injured during the rollover of a passenger bus in the municipality of San Felipe del Progreso, State of Mexico.

Two of the victims had to be transferred via helicopter to the state capital of Toluca, due to the severity of their injuries.

The accident happened at 10:50 a.m., when the bus had a rollover while trying to take a curve, allegedly because it was going too fast.

The bus driver, identified as 26-year-old Gabriel García Martínez, is one of the victims. The other wounded range from a 10-year-old girl to a 60-year-old man.

The authorities are now checking if the bus had the proper insurance papers in order to care and provide the victims with a compensation. If it does not, the owner will be sanctioned.
