The World Day for the Legalization of Cannabis was received by groups of protesters marching through the streets of Mexico City, asking for the regularization of the plant consumption.
The protesters began their march at the Monument to Mothers and then took to the nearby Ministry of the Interior (Segob), going afterwards to the nearby Colonial-era market of The Citadel.
"Legal dope raises morals," chanted the protesters while walking to Segob. "We are stoners, not criminals" and "legalization, legalization," were also chanted along the way.
