Former Mexican President Felipe Calderón said that he continues to reject the "stupid wall" proposal promoted by Republican hopeful Donald Trump and that nobody in Mexico would pay for it.
"I reiterate: We Mexicans won't pay any single cent for that stupid wall. @realDonaldTrump," wrote Calderón on Twitter.
Calderón spoke after his predecessor Vicente Fox offered an apology to Trump for the use of derogatory language against his ideas.
Calderón has called Trump a danger to his own country and compared his right-wing speech to Adolf Hitler's, pointing out that he is sowing the seeds of hatred among Americans.
Trump considers the wall as an essential step to stop the trafficking of drugs and the illegal immigration to the United States.
