On her first weekend in Mexico, new U.S. ambassador Roberta Jacobson visited the channel area of Xochimilco and on Sunday she went to the traditional churro store of El Moro in central Mexico City.

Then, she went to the Ideal bakery, where she met firsthand the delicious traditional bread-making of Mexico.

Jacobson arrived Thursday afternoon from Washington and the next day she presented her credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Claudia Ruiz Massieu.

On arrival, she expressed her wish, and her family's, of getting to know more about Mexico and its people.
