Andrés Manuel López Obrador is being left alone due to his "tyrannical" and ungrateful attitude, and has even lost the support of four of his five siblings, said Arturo, one of them, who even compared his brother to Donald Trump, candidate for the Republican nomination.

In an interview with EL UNIVERSAL, Arturo López Obrador, a civil engineer, reacted to the comments made by Andrés Manuel when he learned about his support to the candidature of Héctor Yunes, a member of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), to the government of Veracruz.

Andrés Manuel called Arturo a "traitor" and accused him of “being on the side of the corrupt" out of convenience, to which Arturo replied that his brother should not behave as a "tyrant" and recalled that Andrés Manuel has been a member of three parties: the PRI, the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) and now the National Regeneration Movement (Morena).

He added that his family used to support him but he does not even thank them for their support, and predicted that Morena will lose in Veracruz and Tabasco.

“He is like a street angel, house devil”, Arturo said.

When asked if he thought that someone like Andrés Manuel should become president in 2018, Arturo replied: “The people should figure who he is. We can not expect everyone, including your own family, your children and all Mexicans, to think exactly like you."

He added that “many Mexicans don't agree with the behavior of Trump, because that is tyranny. So (Andrés Manuel) should allow the free flow of ideas. His problem is that he thinks that everyone is dishonest. There are good people in all parties and I wish him well.”
