After his mysterious disappearance, the former partner of actress Olivia Newton-John, Patrick McDermott was found alive in a small town in Mexico.
McDermott and the Australian star had been dating for nine years when he vanished in the Coast of San Pedro, California.
Authorities launched a search in hopes of founding McDemott's body but was declared drowned in November 2008.
Investigators said that McDermott faked his own disappearance and is living in Mexico with his new girlfriend. They also revealed that he disappeared shortly after filing for bankruptcy, having unpaid debts totaling more than US$30,000 at the time.
