The approval rating of President Enrique Peña Nieto dropped from 42 to 32 percentage points.
In a national survey conducted by EL UNIVERSAL and Buendía & Laredo between February 26 and March 2, the number of people that disapproves the job of president Peña Nieto rose from 51 to 56%, while 11% of the participants said that they neither approve, nor disapprove his performance, compared with 7% in the previous survey.
The approval rating of Mexico City mayor Miguel Ángel Mancera also dropped six points, from 30% in December 2015 to 24% in March this year.
The survey also revealed that the biggest concern of the inhabitants of the capital city is insecurity and violence (51%), followed by corruption (10%), unemployment and the economic crisis (7%) and poverty (4%).
