According to the report of the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 17 low-intensity exhalations mainly accompanied by steam and gas during the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, a continuous emission of steam and gas was observed and a volcano-tectonic earthquake was registered.
Three low-intensity explosions were also registered, which produced an ash column of about 800 m above the crater, being dispersed towards east.
During this morning an emission of steam and gas moving towards east has been observed.
