Former Mexican President Felipe Calderón lashed out today against Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump, expressing that the represents a danger to his own country and compared him to Adolf Hitler.

Just a day before, another former Mexican president, Vicente Fox, had his share of harsh words against Trump.

"We should warn about what this gentleman represents, I would not say only for Mexico. He represents a danger to the United States. Why? Because he is sowing the seeds of anti-American hate around the world and this sowing can be translated for the future in a very difficult situation for the Americans abroad," Calderón said.

During a homage in memory of the founder of the right-wing National Action Party (PAN), Manuel Gomez Morín (1897-1972), Calderón also criticized Trump's racist speech.

"I believe that this logic of exalting white supremacy is not even an act against immigration, (because) Donald is a descendant of immigrants. He is actually speaking against migrants of a different color of him. It is frankly racist and a little on the exploitation side of things already done by Hitler in his time," he said.

Regarding Trump promises to build a border wall and make Mexico pay for it, Calderón reiterated what he said earlier this month, in the sense that "we Mexicans will not pay a penny for that stupid wall".

Calderón, who ruled Mexico from 2006 to 2012, has been involved along Fox (2000-2006) in a series of harsh critiques towards the Republican hopeful.
