Six people have been killed and three injured in what police describe as a series of random shootings around the Kalamazoo, Michigan area.
Two of the injured are in critical condition and one is in serious condition.
Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas says a manhunt is under way for a suspect described as an older white male, perhaps in his 50s, driving a dark blue vehicle.
The shootings took place on Saturday evening in parking lots at three locations - a Cracker Barrel restaurant, a Ford dealership and an apartment complex.
Matyas says that police believe the shootings do not appear to be targeting certain people.
"These are random murders," he said.
