The Ministry of the Public Function (SFP) will ask its Internal Comptroller to audit all the expenditures of public officials abroad after a report by an international news agency pointing out at serious excesses in that area.

Yesterday, Reuters reported that SFP's staff used their allowance in luxury items like champagne, caviar, and other sumptuous foods. Some of the employees have an allowance amounting to US$450 and in its report, Reuters pointed out that the Ministry does not fully check on the expenses made by its staff.

In any case, the ministry headed by Virgilio Andrade explained that the expenditures are fixed according to the terms for international travel determined by the Federal Public Administration (APF).
