According to the report of the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 75 long-period earthquakes (LPs), some of them accompanied by steam, gas and ash in the last 24 hours.
Also an explosion was recorded.
Slight incandescence was observed over the crater at night.
At the time of this report, the volcano spewed a continuous emission of steam and gas heading to the southeast.
