The building of the tequila company of Kate del Castillo in Miami is abandoned.
Tequila Honor LLC is under investigation in the United States and Mexico amid signs that drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán could have invested in the business.
EL UNIVERSAL reported that tequila Honor del Castillo, produced in Jalisco by the distillery Feliciano Vivanco, is one of the trademarks of Tequila Honor LLC, for which the actress is the image and owner. According to Mexican intelligence reports, the Mexican-American actress invited the leader of the Sinaloa cartel to participate in it in October 2015.
The company was registered in Delaware on August 1, 2015 – a state considered a tax haven for foreign investors - and 24 days later in Florida.
Liliana Valdez appears as director of the fledgling company in the official documents obtained by this newspaper.
In networks such as LinkedIn, René Valdez is listed as as chief executive officer (CEO) of Tequila Honor.
In Florida, Tequila Honor LLC is registered at 5441 South West, 71 Street Place, Miami, 33155, the company's mailing address.
One of the guards said that the house is empty and no one has lived or worked there for months.
