Camacho replaces Mota as mayor of Temixco

Irma Camacho said that she never felt threatened while campaining with Gisela Mota, allegedly killed by Los Rojos a day after taking office.

Irma Camacho García, the new mayor of Temixco, said that she is ready to assume her responsibility despite the risks it involves.

Camacho, 65, says that she never saw that Gisela Mota Ocampo, allegedly killed by members of Los Rojos criminal gang a day after taking office, had any enemies.

“I never felt threatened while campaigning with Mota,” she said.

She explained that she will retake the political project of Mota of helping the poor and seeking the community's welfare.
