Fake tickets for Pope Francis visit sold over the Internet

The fraudsters sell the tickets for as much as 4,000 pesos (US$216).

Mexico City's Department of Public Security alerted citizens about the sale of fake tickets for the visit of Pope Francis to Mexico.

The Department said that the Conference of the Mexican Episcopate will be the only one that will distribute free tickets for the nine events among the different dioceses. It added that no person or store is authorized to sell tickets.

The fraudsters sell the tickets for as much as 4,000 pesos (US$216).
