Three more arrested for the Ayotzinapa case

The National Security Commissioner said that they are related to the Guerreros Unidos cartel.

The National Security Commission reported the arrest of three presumed criminals related to the disappearance of the 43 teachers in training from Ayotzinanapa on September 2014.

According to Commissioner Renato Sales Heredia, two of them received the youngsters delivered by corrupted members of the municipal police of Iguala.

According to the authorities, two of the suspects are siblings and the other was in charge of guarding the guns property of the Guerreros Unidos cartel.

The Commissioner reported to the media that one of the detainees is also involved in the killing of Julio César Mondragón, who was skinned alive on September 26, 2014.

“Mauro Taboada Salgado would be one of those directly involved in the killing of Julio César Mondragón ... according to the testimony of Gilberto López Astudillo, who's on trial," Sales Heredia said.

During their arrest, the authorities seized weapons and bullets.

So far, 113 people have been arrested, and 132 convicted, in relation to the Ayotzinapa case.
