Fifteen wounded for tanker explosion in Tonalá

The firefighting squad of the state of Jalisco reported 15 people injured after the explosion of a gas tanker in the municipality of Tonalá.

According to reports, the tanker with a capacity of 1,400 gallons of gas crashed against a street light outside a gym.

The consequent gas leak caused an explosion and fire which affected eight vehicles parked in the area.

Out of the wounded, six are in severe condition and are being taken care in the cities of Tlaquepaque, Guadalajara and Tonalá.

Also, 260 people, among them 153 kids, were evacuated from the area, mostly from a nursery in the back of the gym. There are no reports of injuries among them.
