Mexican musician Lalo Tex is dead

According to his family, he died in the early morning.

Rock musician Everardo Mujica Sánchez, better known as Lalo Tex, died in the early hours of Monday, according to a press release.

He was known as the "Big Doll" and for three decades he was the singer and guitar player for the Tex Tex.

The band was formed with his brother Jesús, Chucho Tex, in 1986. They were from San Juan Ixtenco, Tlaxcala.

“The band celebrates 30 years this year, three decades bringing happiness to all the corners of the country. 'The Doll' and his brother Chucho Tex were very thankful for all the love they received during all this trek, which they made along a supportive audience," expressed the release.

Lalo's family also requested respect for their privacy and that he is remembered fondly by all.
