Humberto Moreira, former governor of Coahuila and former national leader of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), was arrested at the airport of Barajas, Spain.

He was arrested by a police division in charge of monetary crimes, according to data confirmed by Mexican federal sources to EL UNIVERSAL.

After his arrest, his entourage reported to Ciro Gómez Leyva's segment in Radio Formula that the action was due to immigration issues.

The former national leader of the PRI has traveled several times to Spain, particularly since taking a master's degree there in 2013.
