21 exotic birds seized from El Chapo's ranch

Yesterday EL UNIVERSAL informed that horses were also seized during the raid, but the animals were rescued the next day by armed men.

Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzmán Loera has a taste for peacocks, Moluccan cockatoos, blue gold macaws and black swans.

Mexico's Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Profepa) informed that 21 exotic and domestic birds were seized from his ranch “Los Ciruelos” in Culiacán, Sinaloa last November and taken to Mundo Zafari, in Culiacán.

Yesterday EL UNIVERSAL informed that horses were also seized during the raid, but the animals were rescued the next day by armed men.

Lions and a tiger have also been found at El Chapo's properties in previous raids, while his daughters had a monkey called "Botas" as a pet.
