Águilas America was defeated and left the Apertura 2015 tournament for good after being overrun by Pumas UNAM even if they got a score of 3-1 in the second game of the semifinals.
The Pumas are going to the finals thanks to a global score of 4-3.
Águilas actually controlled the game, opening with two scores from Darwin Quintero and ending with one from Osvaldo Martínez, but Pumas just needed a goal from Javier Cortés to secure the victory.
But the expulsions of Paolo Goltz and Rubens Sambueza left them without the needed guns to win on the global score.
Now, America's coach Ignacio Ambriz will prepare for the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan while Pumas awaits the winner of the game between Devils Toluca and Tigers UANL.
