The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) confirmed that a compatriot is among the fatalities of the shooting in San Bernardino, California.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry pointed out that the victim was born in the state of Sonora, but held the U.S. citizenship.
After the victim was identified, the Mexican consulate in San Bernardino established communication with his family and offered them support.
The SRE added that it continues with the labor to identify other Mexican victims of the massacre and is visiting the hospitals tending to the wounded.
