A state police officer died during an assault attempt in a bank in Naucalpan, near the area of El Toreo, in the border between this municipality and Mexico City.

According to the authorities, the robbers entered the Bancomer branch at 9:00 a.m. and used a hammer to break the bulletproof glass protecting the cashiers, when police officer Alan Arroyo Luz intervened.

The robbers ran away, but not before shooting against 35-year-old Arroyo at least six times, leaving his lifeless body lying in the streets.

State and municipal police began a search for the suspects, but they were able to flee on a pickup truck.
