Javier Hernández's promising start with the Bayer Leverkusen and his position on the Mexican national soccer team are clearly the result of effort and commitment. However, it all comes after nearly a decade of career and sacrifices which still hurt.

During an interview with journalist León Krauze for Univision, prior to the game versus the United States for the ticket to the Confederations Cup, Hernández shed some tears as he remembered the start of his career.

"I had my illusions, obviously hopes and my dreams. But the reality was different. I had no way to participate, my participation in Chivas was null, maybe because I was not being my best at the time. But the faith in God and my family ... ¡Wuuufff, the things she said to me! (His mother). There was a very difficult day when ... ", recalled Hernández before breaking in tears and hardly being able to say: "it has not been easy".

Subsequently, the interview went to the first moments of "Chicharito" with "El Tri," when patience was manifested as one of his virtues.

"Faith, trust and patience are the three words in my life," expressed the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player.
