Mexican marines rescue two climbers in Chalco

They were rescued in the vicinity of the Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl tourist corridor.

During the framework of a wide security operation in the State of Mexico, marines aided local security forces in the municipality of Amecameca rescued two climbers in the Iztaccíhuatl.

According to the Ministry of the Navy, during surveillance in the vicinity of the Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl tourist corridor, the marines aided in the rescue of the climbers from the city of Cuernavaca.

The marines then asked the civil authorities to provide medical attention to the victims, who suffered mountain disease and a fall during their descent from the volcano.
